MEET THE TEAM
The Unlock Puglia team is formed by three women who saw something uniquely meaningful in this region

Elisa Pogliano
Originally from Northern Italy, Elisa graduated from the University of Turin and moved to London, where she spent 17 years working in corporate roles for multinational companies. In 2022 she moved to Valle d'Itria, where she created the Puglia International community, which has now 1400 members on WhatsApp. This experience ignited her passion for supporting expats in the region.
Claudia Sviluppo
Born & bred in Martina Franca, Puglia, Claudia holds a Master in Management & Marketing from ESCP Business School.
She spent 8 years living in 5+ countries across Europe and South America, working in Marketing, Buying, Wholesale & Start-Ups.
She is the President of Trame Living ETS a non-profit association for digital nomads, remote workers and expats in Puglia.

Annalisa Galetta
Based in Taranto, Annalisa holds a Master in Customer Relationships Management. She has worked as a Retail Manager for 15 years and is also a photographer. She runs the Taranto Bla Bla Language Exchange which counts over 600 members on Facebook. Deeply connected to the territory, she chose to stay and nurture the international community in her native Taranto.
WHY WE DO IT
We believe the international community in Puglia can play an essential role in attracting and retaining talent.
-
Foreigners who leave comfortable lives abroad to settle in Puglia often bring in skills, a network, and fresh thinking that benefit the region.
-
Apulians who left for better career opportunities, but dream of returning, are paying attention to this new vibrant cosmopolitan environment. Giving them one more reason to consider returning as an option.

OUR
STORY
Get to Know Us
We began by independently organising initiatives that helped international residents and locals connect: language exchanges, networking events, shared dinners, and co-working experiences.
Over time, a pattern emerged: newcomers arrived with enthusiasm, but soon faced unnecessary obstacles.
Italian bureaucracy, unclear processes, and unreliable contractors often turned what should have been an exciting transition into a source of frustration.
These challenges were not inevitable, they were preventable.
Recognising this, we decided to join forces and create a structured, reliable way to support people in navigating life in Italy while building genuine connections with the local community.
